Thalassa Consultancy (UEN 53022436D) is a Singapore-based consultancy established in 2004 by Bianca Polak. Originally founded as an IT consultancy, Thalassa provides technology and software consulting services, helping organisations translate complex operational and technical requirements into practical, reliable solutions.
Over the years, Thalassa has evolved alongside Bianca’s professional journey. In 2016, after becoming a Reiki Master, she expanded the business to include Reiki services for people and animals, as well as Reiki training and workshops.
In September 2023, Bianca graduated from William Angliss Institute as a certified Tourist Guide in Singapore, adding another dimension to Thalassa’s services. Today, the business brings together three distinct areas of expertise: IT Consultancy, Reiki and Tourist Guiding — reflecting Bianca’s diverse professional interests, experience and passions.
Thalassa is the Greek word for sea and is also the name of the ancient Greek goddess of the sea, associated with the vast and ever-changing nature of the ocean.
The name was inspired by the sea, its movement and its constant flow. Like the waves, life and work are always evolving, bringing new directions, experiences and possibilities.
Thalassa represents this spirit of exploration, adaptability and continuous discovery — whether navigating complex technology projects, creating space for wellbeing, or discovering the stories and hidden places of Singapore.
